The beautiful wedding of Nina & Martin at Heskin Hall, Chorley, Saturday 26th February 2022

Heskin Hall is an absolute favourite wedding venue of mine. When Nina the bride to be contacted me to take her wedding photos, I was excited at the thought of capturing a winter wedding at Heskin Hall.

I know Heskin Hall very well, as I’ve photographed numerous weddings and events for charity, including the annual dog show, teddy bears picnic and I also attend the annual wedding and Christmas Fayres.

Heskin Hall has endless amounts of character and the building exterior is very grandeur. The hall dates back to 1545 and is a Grade 1 listed building.

The gardens have endless opportunities to capture photographs outside, plus lots of space for the group and family photos.

I captured Nina and Martins ceremony at 2pm in February 2022. The weather was dry although a little windy, so we ventured inside the historic rooms for many of the photographs.

Confetti fun!

I photographed the ‘fun couple’ in the ceremony room, in front of the huge striking windows. If you adore antique interior design, this room will be right up your street.

The lounge also has many leather Chesterfield sofas, which also adds to the vintage feel of the venue. The hall is quirky, fun and a place to get lost in. The children love it too.

Lynne and Martin, ‘brother and sister’, are your hosts for the day and they treat you like family.

I’d definitely recommend Heskin Hall if you love history and would like a wedding venue that is different. The guests will love your choice. Every time I visit the Hall, I fall in love a little bit more. I’d say ‘I’m an old fashioned lady at heart’.

Happily married
